pickles, jams and… trellises

Beginning of summer and it is time for fruit and wild veggies picking. This year pickles, jams (and later sauces and dried fruits) were taken more seriously. Main targets for this month were kritamos, capers and mulberries.

The garden is greening every day, and we started already enjoying the summer veggies. Special feature of the garden this year is the 3D aspect of it, with all these trellises filling up the vertical space

There was a celebrated return of a very good friend this last month. Apostolis the handy man that helped to build the best compost toilet in the world, came back for a short visit after 2 years. The man is on a great mission to cycle around the world writing stories about the goodness of people that he meats on the road, check it out here. Together with Damianos (a friend that does part of the trip) they helped clean the many kilos of broad beans we picked last month. All the best friends, enjoy the ride !
